Shearing Contractors' Association of Australia

Our Mission

The Shearing Contractors' Association of Australia is a national industry association, representing the interests of Australian shearing contractors. SCAA is one of the three respondants to the Federal Pastoral Award and plays a critical role in the determination of that Award. SCAA is an advocate for the shearing industry, providing its membership with:

• a public face to an industry critical to the future rural and regional Australia. 
• supporting SCAA members with the interpretation of; industrial awards, workers compensation issues, superannuation and other related legal rights pertaining to the shearing industry.
• access to low cost insurance products including public liability cover.   
• access to low cost quality emery paper.
• forums and discussion groups on key industry issues.
